​Senior Electrical Engineer / Electrical Technical Instructor

Rastin Engineers Inc. offers training solutions and complete engineering services with a focus on electrical, instrumentation and control systems in Canada. Our qualified instructors customize, engineer, and deliver our training courses and seminars to address specific/common cliental and industrial needs. Rastin believes in sustainable and long-standing client-engineer and learner-instructor relationships. Currently, Rastin is looking for an electrical technical instructor with the following qualifications and responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Instructor to have the following (but not limited to) qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 20+ years of related experience. (Advanced Degree preferred)Minimum 5 years of teaching and instructing experience in creditable organizations.
P.Eng. registration is considered an asset.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Fluent verbal and written language skills.
Self-motivated, detail oriented, and focused
Proven knowledge of power distribution systems, substations, industrial controls, power studies, and associated software.
Good project management and leadership skills.
Required ability to manage, organize and participate in multiple work assignments including client interactions, understanding and preparation of business cases and course materials, and leading the team.

Responsibilities:

Instructor’s responsibilities are the following (but not limited to):

Adhere to Rastin’s training policies and procedures, and quality management systems.Illustrate ability to build long-lasting relationships with clients and course learners.
Assess client training needs and course requirements.
Prepare business cases and develop training solutions.
Prepare training course outlines, learning outcomes, and agenda for client approval in a timely manner.
Prepare instructor materials (course outlines, instructional and background materials, electronic presentations, training aids, workshops, quizzes or exams, etc.).
Deliver training courses to attendees.
Ensure the quality and consistency of training materials/solutions, training delivery and learning outcomes with the client requirements, course objectives, business cases, and Rastin’s quality control systems and policies.
Conduct other presentations and webinars as required. 
Mentor junior and intermediate engineers in preparing technical courses.
Consistently illustrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
Consistently illustrate professionalism, leadership, and team building skills.
